This is a 12 acre
revegetation project located within a 40 acre wetland development about
4 miles northwest of Poston, Arizona. The project was planted with
screwbean and honey mesquite, Fremont cottonwood, and Goodding willow.
High salinity, silty clay, and rapid recruitment of saltcedar in the
ponds pose major challenges to success of this project. Trees were
planted in spring 2003.
