Rio Loco Revegetation

This is a 2 acre project of screwbean mesquite, Fremont cottonwood, and cattail approximately 30 miles north of Blythe, California. The project is bordered by a backwater on the North side and the Colorado River on the South side. Trees were planted in spring 2003.

Achii Hanyo Wetlands Revegetation

This is a 12 acre revegetation project located within a 40 acre wetland development about 4 miles northwest of Poston, Arizona. The project was planted with screwbean and honey mesquite, Fremont cottonwood, and Goodding willow. High salinity, silty clay, and rapid recruitment of saltcedar in the ponds pose major challenges to success of this project. Trees were planted in spring 2003.
